That sure is one great looking guitar Ray and the wood grain looks real good. I've had a chance to play a G-400 like yours in my local music store and I was impressed by the build quality, play-ability and the sound of the stock pick ups. It felt just as good or even better than my Gibson SG.

Thanks. I really like it. The flat profile and broad shoulders of the neck takes some adjustment and may not be comfortable for some, but I dig it.That sure is one great looking guitar Ray and the wood grain looks real good. Contacted DEAN--- let me say EXCELLENT customer service--- EXCELLENT--- they sent me a NEW pickup--- new wire connector and new pot........FREE--(FREE boys) not even a charge for freight--- only a gentleman's agreement ath I would RETURN the pup if it didnt fix the problem ---I agreed the new parts worked however --and I will return ALL the parts so they can determine WHAT was the issue....and learn from it.

swapped it all out and BOOM the beast LIVES! !!
new (properly british) ROTOSOUND tapewound strings and here ya go.......a NEW fully functioning Dean Bass......for very very little coin
