Man. That’s unfortunate. That looks like a Balladeer. I used to have a 12-string Glen Campbell model from the '70s that my dad gave me. He left it in the non climate controlled basement in Melbourne Florida for many years and that warped the neck beyond repair. I even worked in a hanger at the Jacksonville airport where Kaman Air operated out of. Charles Kaman's grandson was the president there and he took a look at it and told me no dice, can't be fixed.
It was like this one. I played it until it just got too warped. I guess I technically still own it because it's in my mom's shed.

I love Glen. He was incredible.
Not to many of our music “hero’s” have affected me when they’ve passed away…. Much beyond, that sucks…. When Glen passed away, I had tears. It was because of him, his tv show, Jerry Reed, and Roy Clark that I wanted to play guitar.
Warren Zevon. That one got to me.Not to many of our music “hero’s” have affected me when they’ve passed away…. Much beyond, that sucks…. When Glen passed away, I had tears.

I'm the same. Celebrity deaths don't affect me. But when Tom Petty and David Bowie died I felt a sense of loss. Mostly because their music really connected with me, and because I didn't see it coming.Warren Zevon. That one got to me.
I also remember when John Lennon was shot. I was only 14, but even then I was a huge Beatles fan. I remember it was a shock, and such a senseless tragedy. But let's face it, like him or not, the guy was an Icon.Yep this for me too. I don't usually hear about them until later since I dont read the news at all anymore, but Tom Petty and Bowie got to me a bit, and even though everyone says he was a total douche, Scott Weiland affected me as well though not as much, I just remember I was in the car going someplace and it came over the radio and I felt sad for a bit. I loved theout of STP. Almost the same situation when I heard they found Layne, but that was pretty much expected for a while at that point.
Elvis, Lennon, Bonzo. I was 14 when Lennon went as well. Country Dick Montana just about did me in. I was actually driving a semi down the interstate in Arizona when I heard that on the radio.I also remember when John Lennon was shot. I was only 14, but even then I was a huge Beatles fan. For me: Lennon, Bon Scott, Randy Rhoads and Stevie Ray Vaughan. More recently, Prince. Say what you will, but the man was a musical genius and he COULD go medieval on a guitar. Very underrated guitarist.Elvis, Lennon, Bonzo. I was 14 when Lennon went as well. Country Dick Montana just about did me in. Yep, that's when I heard it, when Howard Cossell broke the story live on the air during MNF.My buddy Delfin and I were doing a little jamming, and watching Monday night football when Lennon was shot, Howard Cossell was part of the team who announced it![]()
