Kicking around the studio today....cleaning up, doing laundry, but mostly goofing off with this SG, the Kemper, and Sunday afternoon Hockey....

I had to replace my water heater this week. it is about four feet to the right of this desk. I had to dismantle this place to get it done. I spent the whole time worried about the possible disaster that, thankfully, didn't happen.
Flooding this room would be .....bad.....very bad.
Thanks guys. I wasn’t really in the market for a Strat, but I saw this one. It has a push button between the two tone knobs. Brings in the bridge pup in positions 4 and 5. I’m a believer in KISS.... but I was intrigued. So I bought it. You really do get 7 distinctive tones out of it. After I got it, I replaced the off white pick guard with the pearl white job you see in photo. Replaced the knobs with ones with abalone tops. Had planned on just playing it..... but the neck pup and one tone control had other ideas. Oh well. At least I know which end of the soldering iron get hot.Ummmmmmmm....WOW!!! That looks amazing!![]()
Tonight’s choice. Once I got her all buttoned up. Haven’t been able to play it for a bit. First thing was a dead pup.... as in no continuity. Got that fixed (used it as an excuse to upgrade all three) and I had a tone pot die. That is now fixed as well. Guitar sounds awesome again. View attachment 60828
NORM!....flip that dirty switch and crank that gain knob baby ----EMBRACE the CHUG
Thankfully ours is in the basement / laundry room. It started to corrode inside as the water was getting less and less hot. Figured change it before any leaks. 12 yrs old. Very confident in it now. Yes that could be a disaster for you!Kicking around the studio today....cleaning up, doing laundry, but mostly goofing off with this SG, the Kemper, and Sunday afternoon Hockey....

Ours is in the basement too. Replaced it a few months ago. It sits in that pan and the pan drains through that white PCV pipe to the outside of the house. There’s also a leak detector wire in the pan and I’ll get an alert on my iPhone if there is a leak.Thankfully ours is in the basement / laundry room.
