The Muse I Adorn

Seems like anything and everything is debated these days. Oh, the wonders of the internet. Seriously, even if contact cleaner damages pots, would it be worse than a dirty, scratchy pot that cuts out intermittently?

Anyway, I just use the regular Deoxit D5 cleaner. I only use it when necessary. I doubt that it's going to do any damage if it is not over used.
I have read people being concerned about vintage pots they wanted to preserve in an effort to have all the parts remain original. Also, if you are not able to change your own pots, damage can be costly and cause your guitar to be in the shop

I have never had a pot damaged from contact cleaner, but like I said, I only use it when absolutely necessary. Which is to say, not very often.

Kicking around the studio today....cleaning up, doing laundry, but mostly goofing off with this SG, the Kemper, and Sunday afternoon Hockey....

I had to replace my water heater this week. it is about four feet to the right of this desk. I had to dismantle this place to get it done. I spent the whole time worried about the possible disaster that, thankfully, didn't happen.
Flooding this room would be .....bad.....very bad.

You got lucky there Don O. One year ago today, our hot water tank started leaking, we had an half an inch of water in part of my shop floor. So called up the Boy's had them bring over a new one, could of been worse, at least we were home. Now we are golden..

Tonight’s choice. Once I got her all buttoned up. Haven’t been able to play it for a bit. First thing was a dead pup.... as in no continuity. Got that fixed (used it as an excuse to upgrade all three) and I had a tone pot die. That is now fixed as well. Guitar sounds awesome again. 1615167684822.jpeg
