That would be nice to record. My jazz has 60's custm shops & really sounds good. Have been asking the Mrs..since we down for a momment ..if i can just go play bass in a band..its tough tho with over 80 Originals done since switched to guitar. Maybe am just supposed to make a song a week..leave it ready for final mix & master & make another..this week did 3 in 5 days. I mean what do ya do..arghh.. well i did order a guitar last night..the final one..the end of the line...the rules..what fits in the room on the stands & hangers..all else left the building........... hint, Vintage Sparkling Burgandy

I am playing my Gibson LP Jr., a one pickup workhorse. Thanks @ChasFred !

I got rid of the brass nut and robotuners. The Gibson pup was to bright, so I took a Hofner soapbar P90 pup I had removed from my Hofner Colorama, bought some A2 magnets for it, and screwed into a dog ear base plate. It rocks!

I am very glad your enjoying this axe. All the mods sound very solid and respectable.

Funny -- a couple mods (basically De- "tech"-ing the Jr 100) and returing it to its simplest form ........1 kick ass dog ear and a slab of hog-----and they are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That’s awesome, about 4 years ago I grabbed a standard, for $40.00View attachment 44438
Really digging the wear on the fingerboard there...i have a squier with a rosewood fingerboard, the backside of the neck is all darkened and grody lookin' kinda like that one is on the front. Was my first electric guitar, I was 14, I think. Played it every day for about 16-17 years before I got a new one.

Then, I got a new one. And it hasn't stopped. It's a real addiction and should be given the same consideration that struggling drug addicts enjoy.

...not that there's anything enjoyable about being addicted to....anything...'cept maybe guitars, amps, and rockin tunes?

Tonight is my G&L Bluesboy. It had an HB neck and a standard tele bridge pup at birth, but I converted all my teles to H-H.

It now has a DiMarzio Super Distortion in the bridge that I covered with a solid cover and a BKP Mississippi Queen in the neck, which is an HB sized P90
