The Muse I Adorn

Nice playing, Bobby - the guitar sounds great. I'm not a PRS fan, but there's no doubting their build quality and lovely sounds (although you've probably modded the pickups to something even more exotic than what came in the guitar... :D).

Thanks! This Bobby persona is really working for me!!

This guitar is stock.

I changed the track. I had cut it in half by accident

How does the purple heart feel?

I discovered purple heard hardwood back in the early 80s when I built a headboard for my water bed that incorporated 22 different hardwoods. When I found out that Warmoth would make a neck with Purple Heart, I was sold. It’s the closest in density to ebony that I have found. Silky smooth. I’ve built 2 so far and will do more with that same neck design.

You said '80s and water bed!

That is by far way more than I was expecting...Wow..even a ceiling fan!

I just love the look of stained wood. Old furniture, like guitars, just tickle something in my brain - and i like it. Prolly a lot to do with knowing it will last a very long time and it be useful for generations to come.

But all good things come to an end. It was disassembled for the last time when we moved to the new place this month. Ya can’t see in either pic but the canopy just above the fan was 6 panels. Each panel was topped by a mirror. The entire canopy on the inside was mirrors :celebrate2:

And the wood piece just to the right of the paperback books with the switches and knob is the Purple Heart wood.

Gibson R0. This particular guitar oozes tone, and just cannot seem to sound bad to my ears. Perfect playing pleasure

I have been posting a lot of clips because they are keeping me sane during this time (there is even a bit of morbidity in it - a small record of my hard work, just in case). I am happy to have such a place to post without fear of judgment - just sharing with friends

So here is this R0 with a piano backing track to the end of Layla
