The Muse I Adorn

Done! :dood:

Wow! Much better! Let her rip... :guitar:

Can you pop by Daegeon on your next trip to Korea; just a small job of sanding down some nitro from thick goop to a righteous thin coasting... :alien:

A funny thing happened tonight... I had to make a video for Thomann that showed them the issues with the guitar (the bridge was the only thing they'll probably do anything about, but I wanted to show them the thick nitro - not like their pictures - and the little binding scrapes just in case they wanted to do the right thing and give me some credit). Ok, I took the bridge off, did a little video of how the intonation screw won't turn then put the bridge back on - highE breaks while tightening... Get my last set of strings out (ordered a pack of 3 over a month ago that haven't arrived yet...), and, the highE snaps - both of them broke at the nut, so I filed that down a little trying to make it smooth (used the only thing I had which was an 11 string (the B from the EB hybrid set I like to use). So, I'm using my Epi LP now... But, that's not the funny thing. In my video, the nitro looked so gorgeous and thin, I could not make it look thick no matter how hard I tried...&, the binding scrape: 1) I couldn't find it; 2) I couldn't make the thing that I couldn't find, but was pretty sure what fret it was on, show up on video...

Are we all a bit insane with this guitar stuff or is it only me?

My SX Furrian had a warped neck too.
I ordered a new neck that is good.
I may have a go at this type of repair, if ever I have the time.

@RVA
Where do you buy your fret wire?

I swapped the bridge back into my SX Liquid and found 19 is a little high.
It is plenty playable but I have decided to give it a full dress when I can carve out time, as usual.

I got my fretwire from our sponsor, MusicLily. I bought the Sintoms wire bulk directly from their website and shipped from China, but they now sell it on Amazon too.

Thx, I know you buy from them.

Is there a common size tang that is typical?
OR, if you pull old frets, how do you know what size wire to use based on the slot?

What size would be a medium jumbo, or jumbo fret?

@anna I have a TOM bridge waiting in my mailbox today!!

The tangs are generaly the same, but you could always pull one before you order, measure and and confirm. I do not worry if the slot is a bit deeper than my new tang because I use CA glue to secure. If the slot is not deep enough, I cut it deeper. It is very unlikely the tang will be too long for the neck width, so I have not even considered that

I just found this, I recall having seen it before.
