The Muse I Adorn

That is a nice amp cradle. I have one made for my 50 Watters that allows them to be run (or worked on) upside down, but it lays them flat. Having the amp angled towards you like that is a much better idea. I might need to upgrade, thanks for the inspiration Sysco. What revelations have you had? Very nice Lester too. Cheers

That guitar is a solid work horse! Do those P90s dial back nicely, or is it all raw, all the time?
They have a lot of useful travel available on the volume pots. They need it too. They are super hot when wound up all the way. I spend a lot of time around 5-6 on the guitar volumes for rhythm stuff, and wind them right up to 8-10 for lead stuff. They took some getting used to, but I’m very happy with them.:)

Very nice amp cradle
I've been blessed with some very primitive redneck skilz, but it does do the job. I've been thinking about dropping the height of the support walls a couple of inches. I'm hoping that lowering it will make more ergonomically easier to solder inside of an amp chassis.
Sweet guitar too!
I got really lucky with this guitar. It's a fantastic guitar in so many ways!

Well I adorned this muse today :)

Stock Gibson P90s?

Stock Gibson P90s?

Nope.... Goats Growl
I wanted to get some extra out of this one, and I liked the other two sets he wound for the guitars in my sig.
These are really hot, ceramic magnet, beasts(not the ones in my sig-they’re A5). I was skeptical at first, but once I learned how to handle the leash...well...they’re staying for a while.
Nothing “wrong” with the stock pickups, but I do actually prefer the stock set in my P90 SG Standard over the ones that came in the natural one. I chalk it up to the different pickup positions.

57s? Burstbuckers? Is that the Historic Reissue VOS type? If so, you also got lucky with appreciation. They were around 3K in '05, as opposed to 6K now

My cradle goes upside down, too. But I seem to be damaging my amp every time I do this...

What revelations have you had?
Various new amp circuit mods and new knowledge provided by various members, including yourself, at this here TTR... :dood:. I'll try for a new thread at Room Eleven. ...To Be Continued

Yes on the 57s. I think Burstbuckers were original for this guitar, but this guitar was first owned by a Nashville Gibson employee. I guess he preferred the 57s, which is fine with me.

No, on the Historic/VOS. Info I just gathered says that the "Historic and VOS" designation didn't start till 2006. From 2001 to 2005 these were called "Custom Authentic". But yeah, this R9 is worth 5K to 6K. You want to buy it for 10K?

I was just happy for your financial windfall. However, I have no intentions of adding to it.

Thanks, RVA. You know, that once again, I was messing with ya! I hope that I never get into a financial situation that forces me to sell this one... :fingersx:
