I pulled out my 2011 Les Paul Traditional goldtop, "Duane", again today. I haven't played it in quite a while, but I have to say I still like it a lot. The baked maple fretboard feels very nice, and it sounds great with a set of Throbak PG-102 pickups. However, after hearing how nice my 2018 SG Standard sounds with a pair of '60s T-Tops installed, I'm wondering if I should try putting my two spare '60s T-Tops in this one, just for the fun of it. I'll need to flip a magnet (I absolutely NEED the Peter Green sound!) and lengthen the wire on one of them, but I think I have to give it a try.

Gahr, that goldie is sweet! I have been playing my Les Pauls more often at home lately. I love the feel regardless of the weight. They are the ultimate rock and roll guitar, and just seem to always have that certain aura to them. I jammed with my so called band last week, and the drummer was asking why I don't play a Lester more often, and I told him that the bass player doesn't really like them or consider them a "John guitar." I'll probably play one the next time we get together.
