I'll take Ray's advice and give strings a try AFTER I put some glue onto the neck joint as an attempt to stop it falling off.
Now do I doctor up a height adjustment system or give it a go in standard trim ??? ;-)

I've been a bit slack of late and still have my wife's 12 string Tele on the bench so the two builds will run side by side.
Have a feeling the little double cut will be first across the finish line.

You're guitar now looks complete. That's a really good sound clip of your guitar. The pick ups sound bright and sparkling like a Strat should. Are the pick ups stock or did you modify it?

The pups are Tom Anderson SD1 neck, SD1-R middle and SC2 bridge pickups that all split on p/p knobs

Now that's a nice looking black SG with P-90 pick ups. I own a lot of guitars but not one with P-90's in them. I really like their sound.

Playing these two tonight...with a little lubrication after the hockey game.
Both of them are fairly good players, but the edge(to me) tonight, goes to the SG.
The Strat IS Stratty though...great for Floyd...not as nice as the SG for Soundgarden though...and the SG does the Floyd pretty well too.

I did not get rid of all my BL pups. They work in this beauty. This is a Squire Bulllet with Bill Lawrence Noisefree Singles neck L-280SN and L-280SM middle, with a Tom Anderson HO2 bridge wired with a push-pull for split/parallel

It would not bother me. It seems your singles are already a slightly differnt shade. More importantly, when the color of the pickup starts to become more important than the sound of the pickup, it makes me think that I am getting astray of our true purpose, so I slap it in. Hey, EVH did not pay any attention to such things!!

The specs on TAG pickups are not much guidance. Tom Anderson mentioned that his pickup construction makes his ohms readings quite different than others and not much help, and I agree through my experiences.
