Yes, I have been working on and adorning the new Jackson. I have been swapping some aftermarket parts from my Strat and put on new strings and adjusted. I need to make some pickups for it now. I really like this thing. It has an Amaranth finger board according to Jackson. I was curious and looked it up. Evidently Amaranth is Purple Heart. And yes, it does have a bit of a purple hue to it.

My Harley Benton JR has an amaranth fretboard. I also looked it up, and yeah, it's purple heart.

Mine looks and feels a lot like ebony.

That’s what I’ve been telling you guys with my Warmoth custom PH fretboard necks. PH is harder than Rosewood and has a tighter grain. The 3 on the right are PH fretboards and the far right is a PH neck and PH fretboard (Named her Purple Waze).

This is Chip, a PRS 408. Chip got its name because Guitar Center tech service chipped another PRS I brought in for work (one of my motivations for learning to do my own work). Since I did not trust them to repair it, and that would be an imperfect solution anyway, I asked them to sell me a guitar of my choice at cost. I chose this one.

Finally had a band practice with my unnamed band that had a gig Nov 2019. Added a gtr player.

Sooo hot in that garage... was 35C out.
Used the little Mesa 35 combo. It cooked!! Sounded great!!
