The Kemper Thread:

The Kemper pedal-board is powered and can drive a cabinet or go direct out...
Ummmmmmm.....nope....no power amp in the Kemper Stage(the “pedal board” model). I’d probably own one now it there was a model with a power amp on board....maybe. I get tempted now and then, but then I remember my rack mount processor days...and the ensuing rabbit hole.

If you get the Kemper Rack the case would be even smaller! They also come powered...
Chris, is the rack powered one a stereo amp? Doing the homework on the powered head, at 600 watts, it’s only mono (not that I play with stereo cabs). Ray turned me on to the Camplifier guys and I emailed Tilman, the owner (I think) about options. He explained the newer SHP model is 280 watts stereo (140 per channel or you can bridge them for mono). It’s on order. When I bought the Kemper I also bought a Crown power amp on your recommendation. So I have lots of options for in the studio, but really liked the idea of the Camplifier for gigging.

Don, I believe the powered rack is 600w mono. deal.

Ok, so perhaps i misread the Floorboard/Amp advertisement in that it is incapable of driving a speaker cabinet???

One could just get a quality powered P.A. speaker, if there is an insatiable need for separate personal monitoring on stage....something like this....

At 36.3Lbs, it is what the Kemper profilers are calibrated to feed. Yes, they can feed a power amp and go on to a traditional guitar speaker cab...but the frequency range of a traditional guitar speaker will not reproduce the Kemper’s full spectrum profile output.

so you gotta buy a special cabinet to "get the fool sound of the fake models of the profiled tones "---- uhm 0f real amps?

MAN I got some desert here in FL to sell ya'll come on down BRING $$$$$$

WHy not get a 45.00 used fender mustang amp and mic it ?

I know --- I know your all gonna say its not an EXACT profiling device-- -----

I dont know much but I do know this for 100 % Gospel-- I sound like poop on a 1 watt Blackstar..........going into a 30 year old 12" Peavey Speaker with "free" Melody Maker

so --- Ill sound like poop through a kemper ....a the sound board at Capital Records-- or the house speakers at the Hollywood Bowl too
;)

Im nothing if not consistent BUWAHAHAHAHAHAHA
