I'm right there with ya, but I buy the body and necks from Warmoth. I can do major construction projects but have not worked on fine finish work. Planning, evaluating parts, reading reviews and buying all the components you want is just satisfying. Here's my recent builds.

I'm getting close. This shot was just a mock up with the neck. Back of the neck has been cleared now and I am working on the front of the headstock. Just a couple more days.

She's a looking mighty fine Cadorman!!!!! Really liken the colour and the layout of pickups and knobs!!

Thanks. I was surprised that after building that guitar, that it turned out as well as it did. It was my first build. Since it’s about nine years old now, it is showing a bit of it’s age from playing gigs, jamming, or just getting a bunch of love.
It’s funny that after building it, I was shocked how it sounded (f’ing amazing), and my wife says “you’ve been a machinist for thirty years, and you didn’t think you could make a guitar?”
It is totally different.

Me too. I'm working on building another '58 style Flying V (Lonnie Mack type) if my cellar ever gets re-finished. I really miss my Rudolf Schenker V that had to move on, but my V2 and homebuilt '58 V copy certainly do the trick.

Great job.

I can play smooth as glass until the recording light comes on and then I am pure garbage. Not sure what it is, guess it's basically a mental thing, which confounds me becaue I usually thrive under pressure in almost any other situation.

I know exactly what you mean.
I try and record things with no warm up, sometimes it works in my favor sometimes not!!
