Here's what I'm looking at - long term - for my 2x12 cabinet.



The 250watt capability is overkill, but the speaker has all the other features I like...large (2.5" copper voice coil,) 100dB and only 5 pounds. That would bring my finger-joint mahogany cabinet in at 27 pounds...

Jensen is a pretty weak speaker.
I wouldn't even consider a Jensen as being a professional speaker.

Jensen makes a whole range of speakers. From cheap to luxurious. From so-so to magnificent. Celestion does the exact same thing.

I've never noticed much difference between closed and open back, to my ears anyways...

I believe the most noticeable difference would be made by a tuned port built onto the enclosure. Just a matter of calculating its area based on the frequency(ies) that you want to enhance.

These Jensen Neo's are very well made speakers, Made In Italy.
