I immediately discount the musical opinion of anyone who asks that question. Ringo is the ultimate litmus test to determine if someone knows the slightest thing about drumming/music. In particular, anyone who calls themselves a musician that doesn't understand Ringo's greatness doesn't understand much about much.

First thing you have to do is learn to play a right handed drum kit leading with the left. Next, really, really understand what the music wants.

I find this very encouraging.
I have a couple of $5,000 guitars and a number knocking on the 5K door BUT no Les Paul. Now I know why I play like I have 3 weeks behind me rather than the 3 years.
Exactly which LP will I get that desired skill from?
