Something for all our kit builders here at the TTR

All the kits are over $100.00. I think a kit should be half that. I enjoy soldering, but I'm doing that work. All they're doing is sending me a bunch of components and an unfinished case. Sorry, just my typical rant.
The BYOC Mouse kit is $59 plus shipping. Modulation based pedal kits are usually going to cost more than boost/fuzz/overdrive type of pedal kits. And of course, whatever is invested in a finish for the kit.

But one should not buy a pedal kit, amp kit, or guitar kit, thinking to save money. It's all about the adventure of joining a bunch of different parts together and putting your own personal stamp on it. And it's even a greater feeling when the pedal/amp/guitar works... :woohoo:

Here’s an alternative that has some lower priced kits. I’ve got no affiliation, but I’ve done a few from both BYOC and GGG.

Tube Depot has some pedal kits under $100 as well. I might try one of the Large Beaver kits.
