Some may remember me. Maybe!

Anpetu washte! Glad you're still ticking and still shooting big fat slugs.
I too knew exactly who it was when I saw the name "Walks Backward."
Wade, I didn't know you were a Contrary! That's like my own ancestors
being Berserk...

Good to have you aboard here.

Yes sir, old school traditional Heyoka.. Ya oughta see me in an all out thunderstorm. It's a riot!:p
Funny thing is I'm Norwegian and some from my mother's side. I'm a mess! But I understand the Beserkers well. Great in a mele'!
As to large caliber, well you know me... If it's capable of punching hard down range I'm likely behind what launched it.

So, it's not Tobacco Worm? Or is it?

I'm sorry. Wasn't ignoring you. When I got here I'd forgotten the old name. That stroke scrambled things here and there. And until you asked about it I couldn't remember. Even though it was my nickname for decades. I tell ya, this getting old is for the birds!

Y'know, if you wanted to change your screen name to Tobacco Worm, the Admins here could do that for you.

If Walks Backward is more to your liking, then that's cool, too.

We're all just glad Wade is back with us!

That we are, smitty... Glad the old worm is still around raising hell. The world wouldn't be the same without him!

Wade, I am sorry to hear ya had a stroke, but very glad you are alive n shootin straight.
Is your buddy still coming around to hang out and jam with you?

Walks Backward and Tobacco Worm are both awesome names.
I always remember my favorite part of Mr Wade's Tobacco Worm nickname is followed by "Jumped The Reservation"

My nosy-ness stems from a ETSG thread (from just a few months ago) started by my favorite cantankerous cranky wise old-fook Biddlin (I mean this in the most respectful way). In that thread, Biddy was announcing that he's going to Ride Off Into the Sunset... But a lot of the old Cowboys at ETSG roped him up and said: "We reckon ya ain't goin nowhere"
That's when the name Tobacco Worm, and Wade, came up...
Letting you know that the Tobacco Worm is held in very high regard from the well known members at ETSG. Glad you're here.

Y'all are really humbling me. Appreciate the flowers, as we say here in Texas.
Yeah, for better part of a year I didn't play a note. Aside from the physical limitations restricting my playing, I lost the desire too. I sold everything but one amp and two guitars. My SG Special and LP Custom just sat in their hard cases for over a year. I kept my discontinued red Fender Frontman 25RII amp. I think i still have pedals but they're likely in a box somewhere. Memory is spotty at times.
My bud across the road is big into eBay selling and has little time for me these days. But he'll call now and then to see if I'm still alive. But I only picked up a guitar a week or so ago from the long absence. My playing is ummmmm...... limited.

Great words and well said, Sysco.

We should all seek to add to the fora we frequent and strive so as to be counted in high regard like Wade, Tony M etc.

BTW I liked that " key of Nuge" comment earlier.
And remember bro, I always loved talking shootin and reloading with you.

Walks Backward is fine. No need to change it. Shucks, if ya did I'd likely forget and be more lost here than I am now trying to navigate this site. Don't know how to post pics, insert quotes from another source, and can barely respond correctly as it is. No, we better leave things well enough alone.:)

You are doing great Mr Backward.
Don't feel bad either about Technology.

I have always felt best using OLDER computer versions like Windows 98- WINDOWS 7 but when they jacked the computers up to use windows 8 and 10 where it is like pictures one supposedly touches like a smart phone, they lost me too.

My once Windows 7 computer had a hard drive crash and I had to load windows 8 onto a used Hard drive to get back in business. Well, it sucked so badly, I found a program to make it have a START menu in the lower left corner just like all the older Microsoft type computers did until windows 8 came along.

My girlfriend's I phone, and those little Tablet devices mess with me too, as there is no easy way to locate stuff you want to close out or erase or switch from doing one thing to the next.
I have a lot of learning to do when trying to figure out stuff that you have to guess where it is in Invisible land just to make it work.

Anyway, like I said, You are doin great. We just have to learn a little at a time and eventually it adds up to getting good at it.

Well, "Walks Backward" it is, then.

You just make sure you stick around. Otherwise, we'll have to come step on your blue suede shoes!

Well if you forgot, you could always walk forwards to retrace your steps :)

I just found this.
Hey Wade. Great to see you're still with us.
I just got here myself.
Hmmm...
Come to think of it, we all just got here.

Tony, you're a prince among the crowd. Suppose us ancient ones are, if anything, tenacious huh? And I'm equally glad to see you here as well. Been enjoying your posts and comments. Insightful and downright riotous! :D

Wade, if you don't hang around, I'm gonna swim across the pond, hitch from Baja to your place (I know where you live, remember! ;) ) and kick your keester out of your rack and make you play pinch harmonics til the steers come home! And I'm sure Adrian, Sergio, Anita and a few others will come as my backup unit!

Settle down laddie! I'm not going anywhere anytime soon if I can help it. o_OSo you don't have to hit the surf and boot me outta my bunk. Besides, with the luck you've had with ankles in the past few years ya might just bust something else kicking my old bones outta the rack! Ha!:D:p
One thing for sure, I'm having a time learning stuff with this site. Not that it's difficult, but rather I'm old and un-cyber savvy. Now if it were tearing down a .45 and making it sing? Yeah, no worries mate! But I haven't got a clue what I'm doing beyond simple posts. Guess this dinky-arsed smartypants phone doesn't help either! Duh!

Well, there are some things that are more challenging with a phone. I often make general posts with my phone, but I usually use a computer if I want to do more complicated things.

WAAAAADE!

Honestly, I don't check the forums for a couple of days being busy with other stuff and we get old friends rising from the dead!

I'm so so glad to see you're still alive and kicking. I think of you a lot and especially when I get the old Ultimate Drive out, or when it's storming. Did you know I'm a bassista now? Have found a ukulele band that needed a bassist and done a few gigs.

Welcome!
