I forget their name for it, but Peavey did it too...mid 80s through early 90s.
My 83/84 Strat has it too.

If I recall correctly, Peavey actually invented it and debuted it on the T-Series guitars.

Others followed suit.

I thought I was going to get one today and then go play a 2019 Gibson Junior at the local GC, but they still don't have any in stock. The GC rep said something about still having a lot of 2018's in stock and hopes they will get the 2019 Junior in before black Friday.
