So Anyway...

I have taken on my first school bullying case. I am both sad and happy at the same time: sad that it happens and because it pokes at some old wounds of my own, and happy because I am now in a position to do something to help extricate another from this situation.

School bullying, is just a horrendous situation. It's been around for generations...but, now, toss in social media on top of it.....well, I couldn't imagine what a victim of this abuse has to go thru in this day and age.
I hope you can ad a Ray of sunshine, to this person's life.

I have been working on using a full modal approach to solos rather than just pentatonic boxes. I am now beginning to feel that I am able to think a bit more freely and engage in individual note selection rather than think in terms of modes, boxes or location. The journey is never ending and I am not that far along the road, but I am pleased today!

Not as scary as holding a circular saw upside down so your neighbor can USE it as a "table saw".........rednecks --- God Help Us.

I just used my new table saw for the first time. Conclusion: Table saws are scary

I remember when I was a kid, I could see into my father's shop from the reload room. The only reason I could see in the shop, was because there was a hole in the door. My brother tried ripping a board with dad's table saw, and it shot the board strait thru that door.

So yea, they can be scary. Like any power equipment, just need to take your time, pay attention, and keep your limbs attached.

My old man, gave me that table saw last year. I think of that door every time I use it.

I cut my thumb open on a table saw when I was a teenager.

I just barely got caught.

LUCKY!

I use one all the time, now. Be safe!

Much care and a pushing stick! A friend of mine lost the ends of three fingers in Junior year on a table saw...no pushing stick = finger loss.

I was surprised to find that it fights back. Thank goodness dad told me to cut more toward the center of the blade rather than the top

Interesting...

When I write a solo, I sit and listen to the track. I will often hum the lead line and then I will start working it out note by note. I never put any real thought into it, I just write something that fells dramatic and whatever scale it ends up being just happens...

I listen to the roar of a table saw and then I try to write a solo emulating that sound...it's much easier than actually learning to play...

You are simply doing it without putting a label on it.

Here is what I whipped up (really re-did)

It will assist with my new 7-amp switcher/combiner (pics coming later this week)
