So Anyway...

Speaking of this, I have a $10k hot tub that is totally free to the first one of you guys that will come and haul it away. Otherwise I will have to cut it up with a chainsaw and burn it at night.
no, thanks
I have 2 free HAUL IT OFF hot tubs.......1 is a pond the other --- isnt anything yet....... the misses has a way of dragging these things home .... along with truck loads of other "treasures" ........being raised in Alaska she is trained in "keeping things you MIGHT NEED" ..........might need in 5-- 10 -- 45 years..... but KEEP IT YOU MIGHT NEED IT ....or your kids or Grandkids will need it ........... I have to SNEAK and throw stuff AWAY! --- ssshhhhhhhhh

So anyway...
Someone had me taking apart perfectly good and functional amps today. So, I decided to convert my perfectly good Valve Jr head in to a combo... I have had the head for years, and it’s an un-modded specimen of the last series of production. The combo... I purchased a few years ago as non-functional.... I may build a Baby Will 18 watt conversion in to the chassis, and have a second Valve Jr 18 watt conversion...

I really need to score me one of these JR combos (or heads) never ever had one but I love small tube amps and I love EPIPHONES..........so......it defys LOGIC why I wouldnt LOVE a Valve Jr......

So anyway..as life starts to change. Drums are in bandroom & my former drummer made the commitment for a run. We will start from scratch & put 2 sets together. Put myself back on the road taking calls & jacked this company up. It's fun, just gotta watch certain areas.

Projects.. Focus back on road for the 32 mpg. Ball joints & brakes then off for inspection Looking at roadsters to restore..the roads here beg low HP light weight cars. Will grab a running condition but needing work car in next few days. To slowly restore while driving. Looking for solid drive train to drive all summer, can deal with all other stuff. Not too intensive project this one. next one will be over the winter
Fencing in back yard & building 32' enclosed area attached to my garage to park 2 cars in. 21 x12 deck started off rear of house. Holy crap did wood prices go up !! PA is being moved up into bandroom today. Going with 2 15's & 2 15 wedges.

Been housebound for 5 years. Life can be a challenge but we gotta roll with it best we can. Going to invest major time in my daughters & grandkids. Music room & garage will be open to them to learn. As a kid my grandfathers taught me how to work & make things. paid of in life time self sufficiency. Sad time in a way..no one sets out to see things end

So anyway, I had a great dinner with my wife.
We sat talking while a drank an IPA, it was delicious, it was counterweight from.........whoops, I digress.

So, anyway.... we started talking about my guitars and TONE ROOMS. Somewhere along the way I said, " Yada Yada Yada, GAS ...."
She says, what's GAS?? So I proceeded to explain our Acquisition "issues" and she interjected "ohhhh, you mean like my problem with crafts???" ..... OMG, my wife gets it. I mean, at that moment, she fully understood the torture which we call GAS. It was an awakening.

So anyway, Yada Yada Yada, I'm getting another guitar. HAHAHAHAHh, lol. What a dinner!! :D:D:D :rolf: :rolf: :D:D:dood:

Ahh, maybe the bigger picture is the wife understands that you get Her GAS...... o_O

Congrats on a nice "normal" dinner out, and on the incoming guitar!!

That's funny because, I'm the one who always brings in the mail, with her package . There's always an awkward look on her, and then a slight smile from me. She knows.....ohhh, she knows.

Thinking overnight about the guitar. Maybe it's better if I get a small amp or something in that tone category. That's where I'm lacking. Of course a sweet fender American ultra stratocaster in Texas tea would be sweet.
Yea, I'm in trouble

And thank you.... yes a normal dinner out was awesome. A last minute decision. We really enjoyed it.

Price of wood here 2x4 last year was $4.05 per board this year $8.32, very happy we built our deck on our summer home last year, prices gone up due to covid, high demand and lumber shortages.DSC00461.JPGDSC00476.JPG

I just bought 16 8ft 2x4s yesterday here on the mountain (cheaper down the hill at HD I know). With tax they were over $10 each :run: . Holy crap Batman. Glad I’m almost done the basement. I need about 30 more still.

The new 1,000 sq ft Trex deck price later this year is gonna be a small fortune.

Yep it will be, My deck last year cost me $10,000, to build that same deck this year would have cost me $20,000. Had no idea things were going to go like that, but i am sure happy, decided to build last year.
