So Anyway...

I am not sure, but my sister may have seen this show, or possibly one a year or 3 later.

As, I have said numerous times, The venue this was shot at, was one of the best concert halls for me to see all my favorite acts. Chris, I believe this one is in E Minor

So, anyways...two straight days of masking and painting in the house to correct a color anomaly. The mint green interior walls had to go. I was able to get near perfect transitions between wall and ceiling using 3M painters tape and a rubber spatula. In its place, a light taupe called 'Basswood' and alternating sections of a darker mocha brown. We used the really good Behr which covers in one coat and can be re-coated with complete invisibility. In insisted on removing all the switch and jack plates my wife wanted to tape off. I also did the wall transitions with a pinstriping brush....

Nice!!
Beautiful room.

I hate painting but give it my all when duty calls.
Pulling switch and rec. plates is the way to go.
I wash the plates and clean the outlets and switches with a little windex and an old toothbrush.
Just enough to wet the toothbrush mind you.

I usually free hand the wall cut ins at ceiling with a 2" angled brush but results vary, lol.

So Anyway...my Dad is having a growth removed from his throat today. He has not been able to talk above a whisper for a couple months.

I haven't heard from my Mom so he must still be at the hospital. It's outpatient if everything goes well...

They will test the growth for cancer once it's out, but the preliminary test prior to the surgery was negative so that's a good thing!

I hope things go well for your Dad...cancer really sucks!

....well the news is in and it's not good. The tumor was cancerous. They told my Mom some stuff but her mind went on vacation after the "C" word.

They need to run tests on the tumor and most likely more tests on my Dad...he goes in to see the doctor Monday. F@#$ CANCER!!! Just lost my
little brothers dad two weeks ago and now this...

My heart is with you bro! Science is making breakthroughs every day and hopefully they can work some science on your father to clean that crap out of him.
As for your Mom, she will be back to being herself again. She has a lot to deal with right now and needs to let it set in. You have a lot to deal with too. If you need a friend to talk to, I'm off this week

I almost didn't recognize your post. There are now scantily clad women in your avatar.

Thanks Grant...this just sucks...my little brothers Dad died two weeks ago to the day from lung cancer. He was my dad from age 6 to 13 and now the dad I've grown up with
since then gets diagnosed...hopefully it's not that bad. I'll just have to wail until Monday and find out...

As for the Avatar, my new girl is so silky smooth and sexy I haven't swapped her out in a while!

Some recording fun tonight to test out the Strat jangle on my upgraded Stratish thing. This is the tail of a Dave Matthews Band song called Pantala Naga Pampa, often referred to as What Will Become of Me when played on its own. I threw in the solo so I did not have to sing (you're welcome!)

What will become of me (Jangle)?

I am very sorry to hear this Chris. My best to your dad and family for strength through all of this.

So, anyway today is our 26th wedding anniversary.
30 happy years total together, with some patches of rough road along the way but that's life.

Since I ended up with the timeshare when mom passed we are going to Orlando for the week.
Things have become a bit easier since the wife has been back to work full time.
Still, if we didnt have it we probably wouldn't go on an away trip; fine by me.

We may keep and use it another year or two and then sell it off for the peanuts we can or walk away or whatever.
We are hoping Michael doesnt cause us any problems heading out Fri. but I am more concerned for the folks facing the brunt of it today and thereafter.
