So Anyway...

yes. my second 1; the first is a Jr. HB.

Here is a link to the first build.
I have not cased this guitar once; it has been played almost daily as one of my 2 co #1 guitars I keep out on stands in the living rm.

Sounds great with the new Proco Rat2 as well.

Another Axl Lp Jr. From Ubuy Fret Install

So, anyway, I FINALLY started a Fuzz Face build. Its an NPN silicon. I have a few different transistors to try.

52.00 I can score an Epi or Squire local on CL or yard sales ............never mind

my shipping was about $30 from CA to NJ.
Still dirt cheap.
I got jack the jack (que AC/DC She's Got the Jack!), frets, control cavity hardware, nut, strap buttons there too.
I think the cavity covers come with it.
I have a set of Giovanni al5 pickups for it and strings and sourced the rest elsewhere.
i have to measure the bridge and tailpiece holes and spacing and I will probably get those from Musiclily.

It works out to about $125 or so total with the rest of the parts.
i mainly did this to have more build experience.
If all goes well i will end up with (another) a nice LP slab type for short dough.

Yes, it works for me too because I have all the parts I need already. I would like a wide/Nashville bridge if anyone has one in a parts draw though - import is just fine

If you properly shuffle a deck of 52 playing cards, there are
5800000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
or so possible combinations.
Do the math.

So anyway,

The desire to "create" a guitar is swelling again. Much of the reason that I get new guitars is to put a creative spin on the hardware and make them players. That said, the inability to part with them afterward is making the continued pursuit of this passion difficult. It is like a painter who cannot bear to sell his paintings. Soon you have a room, rather than a wall, of paintings, which is less good.

No solution reached or desired, just pontificating!

DUDE!

That's the bug that keeps biting me...Matthias Jabs had his Dommenget Explorer's built 15% smaller - I am asking Warmoth if they could build me a strat 15% larger!!!! When I was invited to TTR, I had two guitars - now I have six...LOL

Robert, I think you really had 3 guitars.

The 3rd being the stolen Destroyer as the sound and feel of it never left your being despite that jerk stealing it from you.
It just took you another method and different road traveled to get it back, so to speak.

So anyway, I have two motorcycles in the shed, a Ford ranger I use twice a week that is rusting so bad, I can't even work on it. My daily Subaru runs great but has 250k miles on it. And my Ford escort, betty, sits unregistered, housing mice, and awaiting a flatbed for donation to a charity.

That's it, I'm done! I'm buying my dream vehicle.....
Yup, a Ford F150!!

See ya at the dealer
