So Anyway...

I had a similar thought -- but it was Betty PAGE not Boop -- and well since this is a "family program" I can't post the video............also involved a Christmas Song -- by a Band SG John mentioned the other day ....

If you do your research and google the youtrube video (not at work) you will smile ;)

Fla vacation; we drove this time to the Orlando area, so why not.
I played 45 min or so most days, if not just as repetition / finger exercise.

We drove through Lakeland on I-4 to Zoo Tampa one day.
I wish I could have met the TTR fellas in the area, but really didnt have the opportunity time wise with 4 other adults wanting to see giraffe, rhino, etc., not guitar dudes .

JT, did (or do) you work for GE? Back in 2001 I was working for a small 150 person medical firm. We got bought by GE. What a culture shock. I put a mp3 clip of “Welcome to the Machine” on my desktop so every time some new “do this the GE way” edict came out (which was quite often) I’d click that clip. I left in 2003.

No, but similar experience here; GE owned Edwards Signaling for a while. I dont work for them directly.
We are a fire alarm contractor and dealer / vendor for EST / Edwards line of fire alarms system equipment.
That experience and other direct consumer level experience has led me to generally avoid GE products.

GE had just starting doing EVERYTHING on the web back then. The introduction to GE and all its processes was one of the first web pages we had to go through. I right clicked on the main page to see the HTML (the source code for the web page) and coder had titled it behind the scene “The assimilation page“. At least he/she had a sense of humor.

So anyways. just caught myself...almost sold that Jimmy Vaughn strat tomorrow. Pulled it out of case, played it finger style for the sale just to tune it up. Got an idea real quick..put it in the Mesa MK3 on clean..no can do..

Found the finger style guitar for the southern licks

So anyways...weird day in general in History in USA... got on FB.. get a PM from my buddy...he asked if i was making any material lately..sent him my new UP stuff...he called me in about 15 min. Asked me if i would be interested in doing some songs for the radio station he started. He is going to do a 1 hr Sat night heavy & would like to interview me & play a song..its a Faith based station...so i pondered & thought why not crank some songs out..

Well started a new side thing today..grabbed another email..FB page & wep page. Why not.. don't have a band & this would give me an immediate outlet to blast music to. Just have to check my lyrics.

Will be pretty cool to get back into the game a bit after 4+ years...seems the new way ..which is so weird to me..we would just played shows & earn fans ..anywhere & everyhere that would have us..now its all online crap & contacts i guess...who knows but at least i have a tangible thing to focus on after all this wandering musically & recording aimlessly... got a cool song immediately in my mind to record..going to be Trip Recto & ROV & heavy !!

you were within 3 miles of my house (as you passed through Lakeland on I-4 !!!) we have mooses-- pigs gooses-- Giraffes.........and geetars lol

Anyways...should a Matamp & Orange amp be required as you finalize your recording room? Somthing so nasty sounding in them that is really drawing me in. Messed with fuzz all day in the amps..the DC3 with el84 scorching was cool into the Orange big cab & the MK3 sounded great with a Big Muff ,,the EV speaker really holds up,,that lil amp is freaking loud..

Anyways in the midst 2 day doom run, stumbled into a new song to make...just found a huge helper..the Mesa MKiii..all those push & pulls...talk about getting a fuzz pedal in a range very precisely. The pull EQ's really dial in..then the EQ to ad after ya dialed in on top of that. Never heard my fuzz pedals this good before. Using the clean channel on MK3 into the Orange cab is one heck of a combination, The k100's really hold up under the pummeling.

Ive put a lot of Edwards EST fire alarms in over the years. Lots of Simplex too. Kinda like Edwards better for the most part. Best thing that happened to Edwards was GE selling out to UTC. The GE era was kinda junk
