So Anyway...

How does it feel? How is the mobility?
Feels fine Ray, no pain.
Well, there was, when they twisted and pulled that long pin out of the end of the finger...
But it was minor and is disappearing. I feel very fortunate.
And the angle one in the side had been loose for a few days. Kept snagging on everything.
It slid right out.
Mobility is somewhat crappy. Can't make a fist. No where near it.
Index & middle finger are both stiff. Index has limited mobility, but middle one is useless right now.
Pinky is the only finger that escaped damage. But I can close the hand more now that a few weeks ago.
Can finally pinch with my stump thumb.
Ziplocks & band aid wrappers were a challenge for a while.
Can grab the steering wheel normally now.
The damned pined finger kept banging off the turn signal & wind shield wiper stalks when I'd go around a corner.
That's a little better now that it's pin free.
Still can't open a large jar, but it'll improve.

It's going to take a lot of physical therapy to get those fingers working again.

My sling is off, but I have very limited mobility of my shoulder. The doc said I
better do all my exercises regardless of pain or my shoulder will freeze up and
never work right or have full range of motion again!

Take care of yourself and good luck getting those fingers working!

Thanks Chris., already started the therapy.
Been physically bending the stiff ones as much as possible to help limber things up.
It'll be a long road, but worth the effort in the long run.

Dave, curious if they have you soaking it in warm, really warm water? Seems like heat would make it more limber to then do bending exerexcises, BWTFDIK.

Come on @Hackmaster ..........YOU CAN DO IT!

Look this scrawny little badger didnt give up---- even being born with the name Lester William Polsfuss !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just as Les Paul's solo career was taking off, he was badly injured in a 1948 car accident. Doctors couldn't rebuild his right elbow, so Paul told them to fuse the elbow at a 90 degree angle so he could keep playing guitar. After the accident, Paul recorded his biggest hits with his wife, singer Mary Ford.

They did warm it first with a hot pack before the first bending session.
I have to work through all kinds of scar tissue. That and the tendon damage is what's limiting the use.
A fist is my goal. Right now my hand closed as much as possible, looks more like a peace sign than a fist.

This was your fretting hand if I recall? If so I sure hope it gets better!

I mean I hope it gets better regardless, but a man has to be able to fret his notes...

Pain.. i watch my wife suffer all day every day. I feel for you guys, It is real.but there is no way to actually convey it or explain it at times cause its an internal thing that wants out

Have to bury mine,,i was knocked out also at the accident, hit hard..real hard , just refuse too acknowledge it, & my leg took a shot & was pinned...that my gait.(i run) is permanently altered. There is a dent in my leg that wont heal.. ,

no choice but to ignore cause of the care taking task... at least one of us is functioning....man looking back..all thee songs posted last few years..its a peek into the destruction of lives. never take for granted life..in 1 second it can be gone or changed forever !! i laugh at myself tho somehow..my right leg tracks to the right now..all these years of running & now have to consciously place steps..weird...
