Here's a couple PRS stringed musical instruments ...

I did the Drive a Pencil recording with the blue one. God it plays, sounds, and records nice!

Some people just have too many guitars..:hide::LOL:

I never in my wildest dreams thought I'd ever have more than one or two guitars, let alone 4! Les Pauls! I was on a quest a few years back to build my "perfect" guitar. I thought it would be cheaper to do and I could make it to my specs. I should own stock in Warmoth, I don't even know how much money I spent on the 8 guitars I built, but it was a lot and such a waste. Waste of money, not time, I learned a lot about what I like and what I don't like and several things that I thought I liked until I did it and found out I didn't like. They weren't all bad, if fact I built a couple to Gibson specs that came out great, but I was thinking they would satisfy my LP itch was a pipe dream. In the end I learned that there is no substitute.

All of them are now torn down in boxes waiting for me to figure out how to price everything and sell it all off as parts. Turned out my "perfect" guitar is the Les Paul.

Here are some pics of my builds...

These 2 were my most successful, but they have been replace by LPs...

Others that didn't work out so well for one reason or another...

Definitely some cool looking builds!

I've also learned a few things about guitars by building some of my own.
Things like..., it's not cheaper to build a guitar than buy one.

It had been a while since I built a guitar, and you build threads along the way always kept my gears turning.
My first build was a tele, as was my most recent.

I think I had 2 build threads on this forum since I joined, plus a refinish thread, maybe 2. It was all fun, and I learned a lot so I don't really regret it, but it sure was an expensive lesson.

Most of them didn't work cause they look like Teles....:hide:

My most expensive build and my biggest disappointment was this one. The top is a rare piece of figured swamp ash I paid extra for. I was super excited about it and thought the finish came out awesome. The trem never felt right and it has a really thin sound no matter what pickup I put in it. I worked on it for probably a year after it was finished trying different trems and sustain blocks and pickups and it just didn't work, nothing I tried worked. I'm still sick about it.

my latest purchase. Probably the first guitar I've bought that I didn't immediately want to rip the pickups out of.

I got a weird ring in my Dean V on the low E string that I can't figure out where it's coming from. But it's a guitar that I've owned the longest at this point so I'm reluctant to get rid of it.

Do you know what pups you have in the king V?
Mine came with Duncan distortions.
Apparently they came with JB’s too.
