Show Me Your Tele's With Fancy Wood/ Figured Tops.

I'm just stuck here with these

Holy crap!! That looks nipular (GREAT!!), John!!

Those dials look magnificent. I'd copycat you but mine might be too cherry to pull that off.
Thanks! That was my first partsocaster or any other kind of build or project. Maybe around 2006, and early days of ebay. I wanted a Broadcaster of some sort, and bought a generic body, then a Tele Deluxe neck because I like the big headstocks. Then had to go with the witch hats because I was so used to playing my '69 SG at the time, and wanted to reach for something with a similar feel. I should dig it out and play it sommetime.

Now some would insist that mine's not a "real Telecaster" because she doesn't
have the distinctive Telecaster bridge p'up. Telecaster purists are a closed minded
bunch, to their detriment. And I don't care a fig. I never wanted a guitar that might
sound like someone else's guitar. I like to sound like me.

I just love this guitar. I've owned it since like 2009 or so, cain't recall
exactly. It's got a great sound all its own. Seems like my whole life has
been dedicated to the confounding of purists of all stripes. This guitar
helps with the mission.

I’m not much of a purist, either, but I’m not trying confound or irritate anyone. I just buy and/or modify guitars to fit my personal style or what sounds good or (sometimes) whatever I can afford.

I’ve never had a “standard” Telecaster—even though two of the three have a normal bridge pickup and bridge assembly…I have a sister (‘72 Telecaster Deluxe reissue) of your guitar…

and a cousin (‘72 Telecaster Custom reissue) of your guitar,

and a Tele Special, which originally had a coil-tapped humbucker in the neck position (after a temporary dalliance with it set up as an Esquire, I ultimately installed a P-90 in the neck position).

I’m not opposed to a “normal/standard” Telecaster (in fact, I’ve always wanted a 1960’s style with a rosewood fretboard, especially one that looks like Muddy Waters’ “Hoss”), but I need another guitar like I need a hole in my head…

Back to the request of the OP—“show off your Telecasters with figured/fancy tops”—none of mine have fancy or pretty wood grain”.

The “fanciest” top on any of my Telecasters is the Tele Special, which I had pinstriped about a decade ago.
