Someday I'm gonna have a "real" Tele.
What does that switch do on the blue one?I'm just stuck here with these

I feel Deja vu for some reasonI don't post this one because it's not put together anymore. I really need to get it going again, but I want to buy a different neck for it when I do. I had it set up with a short scale conversion neck, but I think a "real" Tele needs a long scale maple neck to sound right.

lol just went there, that’s hilarious.Did you happen to see my post in this thread? I expected at least a laugh from you.
Thanks! That was my first partsocaster or any other kind of build or project. Maybe around 2006, and early days of ebay. I wanted a Broadcaster of some sort, and bought a generic body, then a Tele Deluxe neck because I like the big headstocks. Then had to go with the witch hats because I was so used to playing my '69 SG at the time, and wanted to reach for something with a similar feel. I should dig it out and play it sommetime.Holy crap!! That looks nipular (GREAT!!), John!!
Those dials look magnificent. I'd copycat you but mine might be too cherry to pull that off.
Beefy. The perfect pickup in the perfect place.
This guitar with this pickup can cover a surprising amount of ground.Beefy. The perfect pickup in the perfect place.
I’m not much of a purist, either, but I’m not trying confound or irritate anyone. I just buy and/or modify guitars to fit my personal style or what sounds good or (sometimes) whatever I can afford. Now some would insist that mine's not a "real Telecaster" because she doesn't
have the distinctive Telecaster bridge p'up. Telecaster purists are a closed minded
bunch, to their detriment. And I don't care a fig. I never wanted a guitar that might
sound like someone else's guitar. I like to sound like me.

I just love this guitar. I've owned it since like 2009 or so, cain't recall
exactly. It's got a great sound all its own. Seems like my whole life has
been dedicated to the confounding of purists of all stripes. This guitar
helps with the mission.

Don’t need one.Can't. Don't have a tele!!
It's funny you should say that because I used to think I could get LP from one. I spent countless dollars building 7 or 8 "LP spec" Warmoth Teles (including short scale conversion necks with 12" straight radius) thinking I could get it...I couldn't.Don’t need one.
It’s just a poor man’s Les Paul anyway.![]()
