Shout Out For Psychedelic Rock

I just bought this today on 180g vinyl, an analogue recording as well, and I love it!

It's sooooooo much better than the digital version I bought a few years back.

In my honest opinion, it's near the pinnacle of psychedelia.

You're welcome!

It is easy - take some things and let it go.
Some have that inside at birth, like Taylor Swift uses some psycho things and ideas to make a song.
Back in the days it was all psychodelic music for me because it was so different to things I heard before.
I still like to be on that road to hear it all (well, not all but I hear some songs accidentally).
I am still learning. That is the good thing about music you can´t hear it all it is too much.

Life is good,
Robin

I’ve always been a fan of psychedelic music. I think there is a lot of new psychedelic music to be found outside of mainstream radio. Bands like Neutral Milk Hotel, Apples In Stereo, Circulatory System, and others are all heavy into modern psychedelic music. The Elephant 6 collective in Athens Ga dedicated to the pursuit of psychedelic music. A documentary film was recently released about this group of artists.

This is a track I recorded with some folks from the Elephant Six Collective. It has one of my favorite guitar solos which is a “No Note” guitar solo in the breakdown.

There is always Tomorrow Never Knows. I did this cover on my old TEAC 8 track in 1997, with real backwards tape effects. I also built the giant guitar bar in the Dallas Hard Rock Cafe, as well as the other guitars featured in the video.

I don't think we can talk about Psychedelic Rock without these classics.

I loves me some Airplane!

And...

I suppose Somebody to Love may not fully qualify as a psychedelic rock song to some people, but the way Jefferson Airplane did it, it sure carries that vibe. When Grace Slick did the song with The Great Society, it had more of a folk rock vibe, but it sure took on a psychedelic feel when she brought it with her to Jefferson Airplane. I kind of like the semi-frenetic feel of the song here in the Woodstock footage.
