Shout Out For Psychedelic Rock

I don't think we can talk about Psychedelic Rock without these classics.

I loves me some Airplane!

And...

I suppose Somebody to Love may not fully qualify as a psychedelic rock song to some people, but the way Jefferson Airplane did it, it sure carries that vibe. When Grace Slick did the song with The Great Society, it had more of a folk rock vibe, but it sure took on a psychedelic feel when she brought it with her to Jefferson Airplane. I kind of like the semi-frenetic feel of the song here in the Woodstock footage.
White Rabbit. Always a good one.

Jorma is one of my all time favorites! I’ve known Jorma and Jack since 86. I also built the guitar Jorma used in his first instructional video.

Very nice. Excellent tone on that guitar! Nice and full...crisp, but not harsh.
In 1986 I made 15 of these Texas Sesquicentennial model guitars. Several big names ended up owning these. Out of those 15 we had James Burton, who used his on the Roy Orbison B&W Nights Concert . Jorma, John Mellancamp, Donovan, Greg Lake, Joe Walsh and BJ Thomas all ended up with one. I still have one that my mom kept in closet all these years and is in mint condition.

Love that B&W concert. I purchased the video on Amazon Prime Video a couple years ago. I'll have to watch it again and keep a look out for the guitar.

Here is a clip from that concert where James Burton is playing the Texas Sesquicentennial Mossman guitar that I built from scratch.
