My latest posting was quite a while ago... well, there is some progress. Actually a lot. I prepared the body for "marriage", and am currently working on the neck, again preparing everything as far as useful for "marriage". The glue of the side dots is drying:

Well, the headstock has yet to be shaped. In the hope not to infringe on copyrights by either Gibson (Grabber, old Flying V bass) or Brian May ;-)
And then its time to glue the two piexes togeter - and to shape the bass for a nice and comfortable neck joint.

I just realized...you guys are just now getting exposed to Bea's work. She's been with us from nearly the beginning and is amazing.

A great deal of her work is done with hand tools.

Forming the headstock, a lot of sanding, marriage. Finally...

But there is still a lot to do - the transition of body and neck can only be shaped after glueing in the neck (and the software won't let me reverse the order of insertions):
