I just finished going all the way through this thread, front to back. There are some MIGHTY FINE Teles in here, no doubt about it. But Sysco, that sexy spalted biotch of yours makes me salivate. I'm not sure if I drooled all over my lap or....? Either way, that wood gives me wood! I have NEVER seen a prettier Tele! Does she play as good as she looks?

Does she play as good as she looks?
Thanks for asking, and that is definitely the icing on the cake. I never ever considered a Tele before. It was the spalted maple top that got my attention. But when the owner of my local guitar shop encouraged me to give it a spin, and I obliged, it was instant nirvan-o-asis. I ain't kidding... it plays and sounds even better than it looks. The guitar is very comfortable. The belly cut makes a huge difference as far as traditional Teles go. Frets and fretboard are rolled to perfection. The 12" radius feels so natural for me. And then there is the sound... Seymour Duncan Seth Lover in the neck and G&L's own MFD single coil in the bridge is just an enjoyable combination of good sounding tones, no matter how you use the volume and tone controls interactively. Even acoustically, this guitar just rings out with authority. The whole guitar feels so right!

Gotta stop taking rubbish photos at night in a badly lit room :-(
"Sexiest Tele Thread" well it's always going to be in the eye of the beer holder but my black American Elite makes me smile. Then I look at the grain on the American Std ... then again I consider how the spalted maple project will end up and now I'm confused ;-)

Ignore my assistant keeping the kit together, I told her to paint her hand the same colour as the wall, you just can't get good help these days.

I really like that guitar Rob , I have said that before I like the colour and the wood grain and all the hardware that is on it. Its not overdone its just one great looking axe!!

Thank you so much, Session5, I am so proud of that guitar - That's the one I put together for Marty Stuart...
