Dad has 4 SGs in his cabinet. Hes a big fan apparently lol
-1996 SG Standard Black
-1996 Les Paul SG 61 Reissue Cherry
-1997 Les Paul SG Custom 60 Reissue White
-1986 SG Custom SEC Cream

He had the same model as that Angus Young Flyer, which was an 1987 white SG small block inlay but returned it within a day of buying it ( it was used in a local store and they mislead on its age, claiming it was a 65 model but the numbers disproved that. It was more of an issue of them not knowing how to read Gibson Serial numbers)

Mike, Mine is a '76, it has the Harmonica bridge, I can't tell on Angus' his looks like an ABR or Nashville not a Harmonica
Yeah thats the Norlin SG bridge right? I got a buddy who has a 77 Natural finish with the small block inlays that has the harmonica bridge as well.

Angus is using one with an ABS-1 which is most likely the mid 80s upward. Judging by the photo, id say 86-88

Not sure when they started that knob placement exactly. My '81 SG has the same, with the selector just above the neck pickup knobs. I actually really like it there.

Mitch, MAN this is the 1sty time I saw anyone actually with an SG like my Cream color white SG STD.

WOW, I can't believe Angus does not have more pics of him with a white one. It looks good on him.
I bought this issue back in High School & had that pic on my wall, a few years back I found a copy, yep I still want that SG! I want that T-shirt to lol

I miss that guitar actually, I bought it off Reverb, it came with 2 custom pickguards un installed. I sent the black one to a guy in the UK with the same model, put some Super D's in it and installed the PG/chip/knobs. I really liked it but right after I finished it I posted a pic on the SG forum and the guy who sold it's niece contacted me and begged me to sell it back to her, her uncle had been diagnosed with cancer and he sold it and she wanted to get it back for him. Can't say no to that right?

Absolutely beautiful looking SG
That was a very large Karma boost to ya Rob.
Sorry to have heard the circumstances.
Cheers
