I did not build this tourney I found it on reddit. Dude claimed it was randomly seeded. Thought it might be fun here to generate some discussion and heavy rockin' nostalgia!

Please feel free to post your reasoning for your vote.

Will give this a couple days then move onto another random v.s. battle.

I know it's missing some key groups. Is what it is

This is a tough one. One hand you got THE voice of metal himself, Mr. Ronnie James Dio. But on the other hand, Whitesnake was a monster too. Both bands, admittedly however, really had a 3 album run that defined them.

In Dio's case, it was Holy Diver/Last In Line/Sacred Heart. In Whitesnake's case, it was Slide It In/1987/Slip of the Tongue. So I'm gonna make my decision based on both's 3 album run and by that alone? Man.....I know this is controversial? But Whitesnake really did have a better body of work overall during their 3 album run compared to Dio. And it kills me to admit that, because Dio IS the man! But just off of 1987 alone? Whitesnake wins this for me, though Holy Diver is a masterpiece it's own right.

First round? Whitesnake.

Plus, sorry guys: John Sykes BURNED Vivian Campbell and if you want proof? It took Vivian AND Adrian Vandenberg to fill John's shoes in Whitesnake. That says something in of itself

On the right side Dokken, Then Def Leppard , Def Leppard is defiled by GnR. I know lots of people will disagree but that’s how I see it.
Whitesnake is a great band but I just never followed them so that makes it between Scorpions and Dio. For me its’s Scorpions , career hits very high marks. Vivian Campbell and John Sykes are great players, for me there are very few players better than Uli Roth.

In all honestly Dio really never had much for successful albums or songs like White Snake did. Rainbow in the Dark was almost a one hit wonder for him while White snake ruled the late '80s almost in the style that Def Leppard did. I really wouldn't listen to either now but my vote goes to White Snake.

Are we actually planning to go 15 rounds to a final, or is this just a one-off discussion topic?
I probably wouldn't expect much back up here, but talent wise, I'd have Tom Keifer of Cinderella going deep in my bracket.
Complete dislike for the band, but again based on talent, I'd put Saul Hudson making the finals on the other side of the bracket.

The bands that I’d vote for are not even on that list. :io:
