It's the gain structure. I can't "clean it up" without the tone getting AM radio thin.
 
The drummer had an issue with the EQ on his kit which we traced to a malfunctioning Steinberg Ci1 USB Interface. We replaced it with a newer Steinberg model and the drums really came alive. I'm still waiting for a chance to EQ the guitars and we might take the file to one of our producer friends at capitol and lay the tracks down with Blue Cat Destructor, but scheduling is a nightmare.

Seems like kick drum isn't all that prevalent to me? How were drums recorded?
Also are you going to redo the guitar tracks then? Try the modified Origin!!
Just my thoughts after listening!

Our producer keeps giving me more input during the week. I make changes based on his input and s3end him the files and he tells me whether I'm on the right tracks. Here's the latest out of my home studio this morning.

2021 Gibson Les Paul on all tracks direct-out into Blackstar ID-Core 100 onto Audacity.

This hasn't been track equalized or mixed at all, so there are volume discrepancies, but see if you like where it's going...

Microphone and cabinet are the way to go, I don't think there are many line outs that sound so great.
Microphone always sounds better for recording or live.

For recording
I will put the cabinet in a room, and crank the amp up...
Then I will mic the room, a distance away from the cabinet.
I will get some wall reflections / room acoustics into the microphone.
Or I will put the amp in a tiled bathroom.

As opposed to micing the cabinet close up....

But I think that "line out" is really only useful for clean, and it sucks for distortion.
So using a combo of line out for clean and microphone on cabinet, you can get a pretty usable range.
Like for example using the clean line out to drive reverb from the mixer effects buss...
And so a clean reverb blended with distortion from the cabinet mic...

Personally I would never record line out with any of my amps except maybe the BluGuitar. While most sound decent for live applications, for recording close to the grill and right in your ears the speaker has so much to do with the tone.
You also are not real happy with the guitar tone too, right?
Some of mine also have terrible sounding line outs. The Jubilee for one.
Personal choice tho....

Some amps have great line outs...others do not...this is true

It depends.

When we record with Blue Cat Destructor, you can't tell it's not a live sound. You can even alter the size, shape and dynamics of the virtual room...
