Rock N Roll Tonight

Personally I would never record line out with any of my amps except maybe the BluGuitar. While most sound decent for live applications, for recording close to the grill and right in your ears the speaker has so much to do with the tone.
You also are not real happy with the guitar tone too, right?
Some of mine also have terrible sounding line outs. The Jubilee for one.
Personal choice tho....

Now, we do sometimes record with a 600 pound, portable isolation cabinet, but it's no better than Blue Cat Destructor.

So, I wanted to mention this as we go forward with the project.

I've been singing rock, in this range and timbre, since I was a kid, but I was always shunned because i was constantly told "your vocals are just not rock n roll vocals."

So, I started adding some of Bon Scott's vocal inflections and I was able to sing in some AC/DC tribute projects, but I was never able to sing this way outside
of that "box."

When I started my first music job - earning $125/week as a guitar player in a bar band - I made up my mind I was gonna make a living in music, and doing so required me to be versatile and sing whatever way it took to get hired.

On this project, I'm allowed to do whatever I want...for the first time ever.

Love Airbourne man back in the day would be a cookin song to cover as a modern AC/DCescque tribute those guys have the sound for sure .
I just happened to remember a band called Rhinobucket from when i was younger heres a song from back in 92.

@froman5150 - Based on your suggestion, we are adding this song to our CD.

Here's the two basic rhythm tracks and a solo I recorded after listening to the track a few times. Just recorded to a foot stomp. Solo was composed and added later...This is not album quality. It was just recorded on my Blackstar ID-Core 100 direct-out, but it served as the audition platform for our producer to hear the song's potential in our current catalog.

Sounds on point man , glad you liked the tune , rhino bucket kinda stayed under the radar for most people, their biggest exposure was being on the soundstrack to waynes world lol.

Ok,

So yesterday, we had some time near the end of our session and we decided to lay down the vocals for Beat To Death Like A Dog. This isn't a great cut, just something we though we would record and listen to during the week and see if it's something we want to move forward with. It's a tough song to sing in certain parts due to the unusual time signature and several vocal progressions are really close together, requiring a lot of breathing discipline, which bar singers like myself are not born with, so I'll just call this a work in progress for right now.

I'm really happy with the guitar solo, even though the mix is not at all right on this scratch track.

Here's the latest version...
