Hah, I just bought a stainless set. They’ll look good somewhere :dood:too complicated -- too expensive..... and ............ugly look like a bunch of chrome disco reacords on your headstock ..... eew yuk
I like them a lot. They are well machines, precision devices and eliminate the need for string trees. Staggered tuners are usually an upcharge.Hah, I just bought a stainless set. They’ll look good somewhere :dood:
I definitely like the idea and the aesthetics are pretty cool, but who really wants to be breaking out a tiny allen wrench when you snap a string at a show. This is one of the reasons I avoid Floyd Rose equipped guitars.
Hell I don't even want to be looking for one at home. It's a cool idea but I think they need to engineer a system that doesn't require an allen wrench.

I wonder if a 1/64” slop would be noticed if I put them in a 25/64” tuner hole?[

They should include a really strong magnetic plate to mount on the rear of the headstock for the Allen wrench !40:1 ratio, that's really good.
Made in Oregon, that's good.
Allen wrench needed to change a string, that's really lame.

typically Small little allen wrench screws wear out and strip the screw head really easily....They should include a really strong magnetic plate to mount on the rear of the headstock for the Allen wrench !

Nah, strings last me years, I don’t play 8 hours a a daytypically Small little allen wrench screws wear out and strip the screw head really easily....
and the wrenches typically wear out fast too.
This is the "repair kit," $4.99. Imagine you will be needing this...

and I don’t play the same guitar much, I like variety.:dood:ill be anxiously awaiting the NTD thread. I change strings about as often as ......... well....... once generally.... and then it flips out --- lolHah, I just bought a stainless set. They’ll look good somewhere :dood:
40 is very high and may be cumbersome if you are doing a lot of trem work that throws your guitar off pitch. Of course, unstable tuning due to a trem is a separate issue that should be addressed.Remind me of the Steinbergers that my Firebird had. First, too high a ratio for my taste - you gotta turn the things too many times to dial in the pitch. Second, more complicated than the 'bergers and too hard to change the strings. That's before we get to the look that, while I am sure some will love, is definitely an acquired taste for most of us.
I have a preference for words, so how about this: "Good one brother!!"I hear you man. But it's going to be super hard to earn thatif we're being all serious and stating facts.
And I dont mean a gratuitous, I mean the kind where you totally have to loosen your pants up to get enough air so you can think clearly enough to click the
button - like really EARN it.
It's my mission and my duty.
Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.
But now I’ll need to accessorize them with a new neck. That will lead to a new body, that will lead to new parts...ill be anxiously awaiting the NTD thread. I change strings about as often as ......... well....... once generally.... and then it flips out --- lol
I was being ornery this morning and taking a counter point to the thread........ really I wouldnt buy them but ya'll have fun with them ratios![]()
