Very cool. You rarely get to hear a song broken down like that. I definitely think I need a Rat pedal.
This album came out at a transition point. It's the only album that I bought the cassette, record, and cd.
That's cool stuff. This song came out at the height of MTV....the video put them over the top. Well, the video and those bad ass leads they rip.
Warren had some great phrasing!
Recipe for 80s guitar: B C Rich Ironbird (pointy guitar), metallic red, Super Distortion in bridge, Super Distortion 2 in neck. Kahler or Floyd Rose.
I owned that guitar once (Kahler)
He sure did. However, with this song, even though Warrens lead is masterfully tasty , the harmony of the duo for the second lead is awesome. Really complimented each other.

The local radio station here in Lost Angeles has a show specifically for the Isolated Tracks. They will break a whole song down to guitar, bass, drums and vocal tracks. Sometimes layer them independently from the full mix. I've searched on YouTube and found several. It's a great way to replace Jimmy Page if you wanna play with the rest of Led Zepplin.Very cool.
