Project 66

I’ve had these since 1972. Always worked on my own car and as a mechanic for few years.View attachment 91399
Have a Snap On cabinet full of tools I bought thru the mid-late 70s before moving into the Parts Department. Before parts I was a mechanic and truck driver. Worked at a CaseIH tractor store. Not too many drum brakes on a 150hp tractor. But some fairly large diesel engines and transmissions. ;)

Amongst other goodies, I have all my stuff for setting points and adjusting dwell and timing. My '59 Harley still uses points, and I have a few flatheads I hope to eventually have running again. Never give up on the old tools, they will always be useful. Still have my brake tools too.

Don't have any brake tools. Might get some tho cause that is a lot of tension on the 2 springs letting it slip into place using a screwdriver & pliers, Did get a cool slide hammer set up for the axle pull. Nice thing is the 58 Fairlane is pretty much the same set up, Cant wait to pull the 332 in it. Just poured concrete in other section of garage last 2 weeks add on so i can get it running for fun before the next winter tear down.

Have to run all new brake line from proportioning valve back on Galaxie then the 390 dropping. Plans are Galaxie on road by May & Fairlane running enough to move around & analyze the engine & tranny for future plans. Then the next addition is going on to garage.
