Very nice ChasFred. Love the built-in footswitch holder!

Very cool amplifier! How is the treble on this one? The GA-5 was ear-piercing at first, I really had to roll the tone back on the guitar, and even then it was hard to tame. After removing the "tone sucking network" inside it, it is still quite bright, but it's easy to control with the guitar's tone knobs. I guess you have more control with this amp, since there are tone controls on it?

The tone is not that great. I have not worked on it any. This is a future project for when I retire next June. I got it for $75 so I could not pass it up. It had no speaker so I put the Weber in it. Once I start to work on it I wi;; of course post pic of the progress.

At $75 it is a steal any way you look at it! I'm sure you can make it sound nice.

Just like Gahr said, I'm sure you'll get it back to its glorious state.
And a pre-grats to your future retirement... :celebrate:

Mr. Gahr...!!! Love that tone. And that is some sweet and greasy Delta vibe you got going... awesome...

Thanks! I might do another clip tomorrow, fiddling a bit more with the settings on the guitar pickups. And cranking the amp all the way up. But it gets fairly loud, so I'll have to check if the neighbors are out first...

What you need to do first, is borrow someone's 100 watt Marshall full stack, or half stack will do, too. Crank it, and then ask your neighbors if it's loud. They should say yes. Then tell them: "Excuse me, I'll play my little old 5 watter then!" Your neighbors will be relieved and happy that your only using your 5 watter... :fingersx:

A new clip. Again pretty sloppy playing (slide this time), and I sing a bit too. Amp volume at about 6. Recorded on the iPhone.

Ok folks... we is got a "Ringer" in our crowd... :dood:

Excellent, Gahr... frickin excellent.

Are you in standard tuning on the slide?

It's in open E. I play slide in open E most of the time, but dabble with standard tuning every now and then.
