AVOID THE CODE ------
I had 2 --- neither worked --- bought brand new both returned--- AVOID the CODE

I didn't get the CODE25, as you know, I don't like Marshall amps - they wouldn't sound good with the LP special anyway... &, Dave is correct, I have been thinking about electronics and Bare Knuckles puppies (I won't do it, I will control my silliness, the geetar is fine as is, I will not modify anything!).

I'm quite looking forward to my new amp; it looks and sounds great in the reviews I watched. Sold out here in Korea at the places I know, so I couldn't try it out.

Hold up! Marshall & P-90's don't sound good? I beg to differ as I had a Gibby LP Special (Identical to Bob Marley's less the big metal input jack plate he had) & a DSL 50 and it was sweet! Why do we make stupid gear decisions thinking the grass is greener on the other side is something I ask myself at times :(

so many times I ask this question....................soooo many times.............
I mean I am pretty happy right now with my gear, I really like my Ibanez amps & I know shizznit happens but my TSA30 going down for no reason and it needing repairs past tubes & being just a little over a year old and not being bounced around or abused kind of shook my confidence in them. It could cost more to fix than what I paid for it. My 2 Fender combo's I bounced them around a little moving them around because they are heavy summabiotches but never failed, the 3 Marshalls & 2 Oranges & 3 Jet City's....no issues at all. The TSA has sat on top of my 2 1x12's since I got it and really never moved and it's dead.

ME too----but --- if the "right something" pops up for the "right price" -- -well I might "have to" and there in lies the problem------

for me I guess its like hunting -- the stalking ....the searching-- the HUNT--- to find that "item" at the (ridiculously low amount Im willing to pay) -- then POUNCING and GETTING IT ---but when IO get it home its meh-- and the cycle stars over..........................
sickness.

STOP THE MADNESS!

I think this thread is a joke I own a 1969 early metal face Marshall Super Lead 100 that is one of the best sounding amps ever made by man.

So an apartment amp ??? I play unplugged most of the time Band practice I use a 15 watt volume 1-3 Live same thing

Since you are a renter sound proofing a room is out of the question. After my divorce all I could afford was a water front condo we rented a practice space.

Then I bought a house first time our band played the Police were knocking on my door I got upset and sound proofed a room $100,000.00 later
you can still hear the band playing 1/4 of a block away but no Police. that's why I suggested a modeling amp with head phones

I own my little love shack here and it hasn't cost me $100k...yet....and I really DGAF about my neighbors. If they can run quads up and down my alley and sit in their yards reving them up because they don't take care of them or maintain them until they fall apart...screw em'! And so far out of all the amps I have tried my favorite is a DSL50 Green Channel. It was so easy for me to plug in, add a little boost (T-Rex Yellow Drive) and get the sustaining bluesy rock crunch I love! To top it off yes it could get loud but it had a master volume on it unlike the JCM800 I had and I could further that with an attenuator to get it cooking. It is a lot easy and cheaper to find the DSL 100 but then I have to buy another attenuator as mine is rated for 50w amps.

Indeed, there is humour in this thread. Don't take my Marshall comment to heart; last time I said Marshall amps and Gibsons don't work together, it was in the knowledge that I had bought a DSL5w, and I was just having a bit of fun - obviously, such absurd comments are not meant to be taken literally...

The THR10 is perhaps one of the first (if not the first) modelling amp where they literally modelled the components of amps they were simulating - and I already have one of them on my desk; nice, but I just want something else too. In this case, I just wanted to try a modern ss to see how good they have become. Several channels, gain and volume as well as a master volume, should give me the sounds I want at the volumes the neighbours can live with. Also, I may be moving to a bigger place in the next month or two, so a mid-sized amp will be fine - I like a 10" speaker over the smaller speakers, but I don't push enough air to get a 12" speaker moving properly...

Marshall Super Lead 100

I didn't get one of those, but I suspect the amp I did get will give a fair version of that (considering the price...). It should arrive in about a week; you can tell me it's crap then when you know what it is. :D

Whew...

I thought we were gonna have to have one of those, “We’re your friends and we’re here to help” interventions.

I get it with the Marshall DSL I tried a DSL-15 the clean channel was OK but the overdrive and reverb was the worst.
I asked if I could take the chassis out of the amp they said no.

I am not a fan of DSL distortion tones either. Too fizzy, not much character. OK for the price I guess but far from what you hope for in a high-gain Marshall.
