...put a Gibson strap on a Fender-style guitar?

Will it somehow upset the guitar Gods, so that the tele falls off its stand and the headstock breaks?

I ask because I only have one free strap at home (and I like the same style strap on my SG), so it's convenient.

Yes it's wrong. This kind of behavior will not be tolerated. You are hereby suspended without pay pending further investigation.

Nah you're fine lol early on i had a nice gibson strap i used on literally anything including a Tele. Like Adrian said, id use Fender Bullet strings on an SG and Gibson Vintage Strings on a Tele lol these days. The Tele has its own strap and then i have one for the Gibsons i share but thats only because I use strap locks and the strap mount layout on the Tele is different than the Gibsons

I'm going with you on this one. Then, as I have no unused Grolsch strap-locks in the house, the next question is: am I pushing my luck by tightly winding elastic bands around the strap pins?

Sorry brother I don't mean it harsh way, my intention was, not to worry about the strap and play the guitar.

I know, I'm British too, so I was only playing around... Of course, I should practice more. I saw that fella Jared something something today, a blues player who has an Epi signature LP custom, but just a P90 like a Junior, and he was quite inspiring. Never seen him before, but I wanna practice more now - I just hope my strap doesn't break in the process!
