Will it somehow upset the guitar Gods, so that the tele falls off its stand and the headstock breaks?
I ask because I only have one free strap at home (and I like the same style strap on my SG), so it's convenient.

I have put Gibson STRINGS on a Fender guitar and Fender Strings on a Gibson Guitar ..........so ..........................the Cosmos will be fine, though I did that at the start of 2020....................................![]()

Nah you're fine lol early on i had a nice gibson strap i used on literally anything including a Tele. Like Adrian said, id use Fender Bullet strings on an SG and Gibson Vintage Strings on a Tele lol these days. The Tele has its own strap and then i have one for the Gibsons i share but thats only because I use strap locks and the strap mount layout on the Tele is different than the Gibsons

Elastic bands around the strap knobs huh? Inventive!I'm going with you on this one. Then, as I have no unused Grolsch strap-locks in the house, the next question is: am I pushing my luck by tightly winding elastic bands around the strap pins?

Has any telecaster ever suffered a broken headstock? If me dog kicks the tele off its stand and it snaps in two then we will know you are right (I'm kinda expecting that Gibson curse to occur).
Lmao that was filmed on his birthday at Hampton Coliseum in Virginia. There's a dude walking around there to this day, with a Tele shaped cutaway dented into his forehead probablyNot that i know about
Keith uses his as a baseball bat and the Tele didn´t get out of tune
In all honesty, dose not matter what guitar strap you have, all it matters what you do with it.

Sorry brother I don't mean it harsh way, my intention was, not to worry about the strap and play the guitar. That hurts! I mostly buy stuff because I'm a crap player...(Of course, you are right.)
Superb!![]()

Thats amazing logic! Im sold lolI’m thinking one of two things. Either the value of the Fender will go up with a strap that says Gibson. Or the value of the strap will increase due to a Fender hanging from it. Just depends on your orientation.
