What is Pll?
If it has that mix of qualities you like, and you are planning on keeping the guitar, and it cannot be found elsewhere, it would be short sighted to worry about a few hundred dollars either way. Would you prefer to pay $200 less for a guitar you do not like as much? How much does that anount to over the life of the guitar. When you balance regret and $200 on either side of a scale, regert is very likely to win hwavily outweigh the $$$.

What is Pll?
As for me, it is at least $700 too pricey.
If you think $1400 is a bit steep, make them an offer or ask for a discount.
So $1400 for one doesn't seem outrageous by comparison.
Especially if you can play it, and respond to the feel and the weight of it.
The Lester with the P90 Soap Bars is my Choice.i like that P90 hum when everything id cranked hahahaha
Ya Robert youd cut your ears off lol.
It's a lot like a poll.
I agree it's too pricey, but it's all relative. Looking at ebay, thanks for those links, I can't even get a second hand studio faded here for under $900 (including Korean import tax). I'd much rather buy this new 2016 60s tribute T for $768 (and, I very may well do - it's a good price for a nice guitar, but I haven't played it yet...).

스쿨뮤직 - Gibson Les Paul 60s Tribute 2016T Satin Honeyburst Dark Back (LPST60THDCH1)
I cannot get a new studio 2016T or 2017T online and ship it to Korea and pay import tax for under $1400; the shipping and import tax really screws you which is why, despite the high costs here, it's still cheaper/better to buy in Korea; especially as you can play the guitar first.
Because I'd wanna get a case, and that's $150+ here, for any Gibson LP I'd buy, it then makes sense to look at the studios because they come with cases; so, $768+$150=$918 for that LP with a case; that makes the Midnight Blue $482 too expensive! But, it's Korean sale time this weekend, so I'm hoping that amount will reduce...
