Yeah, I didnt have it set that precisely. Also could have used more deptn of field. Oops...Great shots Jethro! I would suggest that when you shoot those last few you posted, that you focus on the eye in the light and not the front shadow one.
Crushed? Me no comprende...I kind of like the crushed, adds mystery
I seem to have gotten it in others.Great shots Jethro! I would suggest that when you shoot those last few you posted, that you focus on the eye in the light and not the front shadow one.

Ah. I use the term Shallow for me. Got it.maybe its a TV camermans term I mistakenly transfer to film or digital photography... "crushed" depth of field is just that... very little focal depth or distance
Well...I can see that she’s wearing toric (astigmatic correction) contact lenses....that’s some fine detail.I seem to have gotten it in others.

Good old Rollei twin lens. Great glass! Fun to use. I want to get a used Blad someday.I've been photographing on and off since the late 80's but mostly on digital since 2006. A couple of months ago I decided to haul out my analog gear and start using it again. Been on a spree ever since. I even dug the old enlarger out of storage and found some old photo papers that still work.
These were too large to scan so I just propped them up and used my digital camera to photograph them. The first one is a photo of my old man (he's the one on the bench) that I took a month ago using a pre-war Rolleiflex. I tried some manual dodge and burn but I'll have to redo it again as I feel a need for more contrast between dad and the brick wall.
The second one has a lot of dust and aweful drying marks from the negative. I'll have to rinse it but kind of like the photo. It wa shot late November (so a pretty late paddle boarder) on regular 35mm film.
The third one was shot using the same old Rolleiflex during a walk on the beach here. I just photographed the negative using my digital camera and converted it digitally.
