Photography, wildlife and more

Photography has taken up more and more of my time lately. A great hobby to follow for myself.

A few shots I've taken over the last few years.

... and more

I've been photographing on and off since the late 80's but mostly on digital since 2006. A couple of months ago I decided to haul out my analog gear and start using it again. Been on a spree ever since. I even dug the old enlarger out of storage and found some old photo papers that still work.

These were too large to scan so I just propped them up and used my digital camera to photograph them. The first one is a photo of my old man (he's the one on the bench) that I took a month ago using a pre-war Rolleiflex. I tried some manual dodge and burn but I'll have to redo it again as I feel a need for more contrast between dad and the brick wall.

The second one has a lot of dust and aweful drying marks from the negative. I'll have to rinse it but kind of like the photo. It wa shot late November (so a pretty late paddle boarder) on regular 35mm film.

The third one was shot using the same old Rolleiflex during a walk on the beach here. I just photographed the negative using my digital camera and converted it digitally.

Good old Rollei twin lens. Great glass! Fun to use. I want to get a used Blad someday.
