Papa's Got A Brand New Amp -

Wise words indeed.

Most definitely use an opened box as dealing leverage!

So, I called GC in Fountain Valley and the manager was super cool. He told me straight up that this was a floor model. He also added that he has to inspect the item when MF intends to use it as warehouse item and any cosmetic damage would be a deal breaker.

He also said that their store policy is that amp heads are never floored with a power or speaker cable, and that any amp/head demo has to be set up by GC staff.

I took that a step further and contacted local Marshall service tech, Jack Spina. He advised the Origins are designed to protect the OT if switched on with no speaker load.

So, I called up MF and forwarded them the email from GC. A manager was consulted and I got this 50H for a little more than 20H retail pricing...and 4,000 reward points, worth $40.00...

I use my Friedman BE pedal with the Origin, kinda the best of both worlds. Definitely enough modern high gain in that thing!
i use friedman be od in my band rehearsal as i cant be bothered to take the amp there. i put in in front of clean marshall mg through 1960a and it chags so nice...

@Robert Herndon i think ive seen everything on youtube related to Marshall and metal or high gain :))))))))))

I'm curious....how would you describe my tone???

I'm not sure that I sound "metal" really...???

They don't need a speaker load, one of the very few.

That's why I use it for line out recording.

Nice way to Ferengi a deal out of them. @eSGEe would be proud.

Lot of different tones in the Origin if you put in the time to learn how to get them.

I think it will work well for you @Robert Herndon , considering the wide variety of situations you get thrown into!

It will work out as a nice tonal tool box for you, with a little help from tubes, pedals settings etc..

No kidding!@@@!

In the middle of rehearsal the bandleader will throw in some super-clean tune, and I'm thinking, "WTF!!!??? I CAN'T EVEN SOUND CLEAN ON THE GREEN CHANNEL!!!"
