"I have lawyers on stand by just in case I eat the wrong baby. I ate an English kid once and got away with it. My lawyers have never even written a letter for me. I have never had one suit filed against me. I take all the basket cases out of the ambulance. I even call time on others screw ups. A death, I always go and talk to the family. If they want a smoke I go to, a bar is directly across the street and I have even bought them a couple drinks. I never drink 24 hours before my shift. I have a Coke or if I am off in one hour I have had a drink and just talked to them. Never on law suit, and I think being personal and pleasant helps diffuse and problems. One girl made a trip out the windshield and they saw the glass in her eyes. That freaked them out. I told them I would stay and remove all the glass and then call the funeral home. I did and waited for their under taker. Not my patient. A friend messed up bad and he was exhausted. Good to have someone cover your back. She would never be close to normal and a super burden. That ain't my job but she was better off. I don't like going to court. I had my fill when I was appointed the courts special coroner. Two years of finding the monkey business of cops and others. I still look over my shoulder. Any one know wear this goes? I hate extra parts!!!"

Of interesting note, Kevin was a skilled trauma surgeon and had also worked as a county coroner.
