Old dudes are asleep...

Today. I think this old guy is gonna replace the battery in the lap top. That should be fun.

IB,,,,,,,,,, I finally broke down the other day to fix my favorite laptop. About 2 years ago my HP G71 340 US died. Well, I was able to find another on ebay and bought it used and it worked well for awhile till the drive that handles web connections died So I took the good one out of my original laptop. Then maybe a year ago the screen broke on my replacement Laptop. At the time I initially bought my 2nd G71, I bought a Dell Precision M6300 to get me by as a backup. It supposedly is a well reputed model, but mine was about as slow as dial up. It has superior speakers to the HP, but that's about it for me. Anyway, I been plodding along on the Dell for 6-8 + months as I was too lazy to dive into a screen replacement on my HP. AS I still had my original HP and could easily use it for parts, I decided Wednesday or Thursday was the day I would attempt the swap. So, basically it was a simple job. Undo about 12 screws 2x6 on the 2 laptops, remove and swap the good screen into the laptop with the damaged screen. Reinstall 6 screws and a trim ring on the laptop and now no more Dell "Turtle" Computer

Thanks brother, after I get home, I am going to celebrate another week with a number of Colorado kool aids , and play my git fiddle for a couple of hours
Loud and cold, just to celebrate working!
Congratulations bro, I'm sure that takes a little weight off your shoulders.

I'll probably see you later online, I'm sort out a bachelor tonight!

So loud, and rum is on the menu!
