New In-Ear Monitor Day.

These just arrived. They were only $49.00 on Amazon.

They are Linsoul KZ-ZS10 Pros and are actually pretty good. According to the Amazon entry for these, they are a five driver set.

I can say they are superior to Shure SE 215 in-ears which I've used quite a bit. Of course, the Shure SE 215 is only a single driver set.

They are also very comfortable to wear and you forget you have them in.

Im going to get straight to the point. You owe it to yourself to buy these and put them in your ear holes right this second. I don't know how they manage to price IEMs of this quality at $70 CAD but at this point I dont really care.

These IEMs are the best I have ever heard under $1000 US, the four-way balanced armatures make the high, mid-high, mids and lows sound so fleshed out and unique, and the high quality dynamic driver ties everything together in such a way that you absolutely can not beat the audio quality and nuance of these in the 50-500 dollar price range.

Buy these now while you have the chance. Seriously. SERIOUSLY.

Just ordered a set! Thanks!!

I hope they work out for you.

I’ve never used other multi-driver IEMs, so I don’t know how they compare with them.

But, at only $49.00, I figured I couldn’t really go too wrong with them.

I had the Shure 425s on my list before I found these. I haven’t actually gigged with these, yet. But they sound good in the practicing I’ve been doing, thus far.

That's crazy! I upgraded the SE215s, which are quite good for just vox, to the SE425.
Seems I could have shot lower! Awesome.

For the electronics side of things, I'm just using an XVive, for now.

It works pretty well, though it is somewhat range limited. It will let me leave the stage, though.

I plan on eventually upgrading this to something more robust. Both Shure and Sennheiser make good IEM systems.

I am sure your Band will be successful smitty..:)

Thank you for the vote of confidence.

In all actuality, though, it isn‘t “my” band, in the sense of who founded the band. I am actually the third guitar player who has been in the group. I’m the “new guy”.

So, I focus on working hard, having a positive attitude, and being flexible.

Smitty, do you use them with a wireless system?

Yup, see post #6 above!

Granted, it’s not he best wireless IEM system. But, I do plan on eventually upgrading.

But, for now, this is working well.

I just plug the transmitter into the stage snake head near where I stand on stage. I use an XLRM to 1/4” TRS adapter to plug into the snake head. It works well and sounds good with these in-ears.

Heck, I read that and thought guitar wireless, duh.

I put the XVive system in my recently new pedal board.

I need to upgrade my wireless guitar system, too.

Currently, I use an older model, entry-level Shure system. It does work okay, but it is somewhat range limited and the signal can be affected by rather minimal obstructions. I want to get something a little more robust and powerful. Some of Shure's systems in the $600.00 to $800.00 price range would be much better than what I have now.

Maybe its because ive been forced to use them in certain performances pursuant to a contract, but i don't get a true representation of what the audience is hearing. Everything sounds very thin and one-dimensional.

Hope they work well for you.

For IEM I think the key is Monitors. You need to hear your and lead singer vox your guitar, other guitar whatever you have to to play properly. FOH mix would be unnecessary usually drums still come through very well both acoustically and through mic bleed.
I do not see the point of kick drum through a monitor. You can feel it plenty well. Can also use just one ear in.

For our system, each of us has an app on our phones so we can log into the mixer via a WI-FI router and set our own monitor mix. I really like that.

As you inferred, there is sort of an art/science to what you put into your mix. It’s not uncommon for those who are first learning to use IEMs to run more into their mix than necessary.
