Nice Strat

Yeah, I've been fooled more than once by a picture on the interweb.

Me too! You should see the dog I had to return.
However that is a beautiful Strat. I could never get that last white coat of junk off completely. I don't know what it is but it is a bugger.

That's not a look that appeals to me. Some grain filler and gloss topcoat for me, thank you very much!

road worn time tested -- no high gloss or laquer or nitroceluation- just natural wood -- the manual says to use FLOOR/furniture POLISH on them .....

naw--- the strats a fancy new "poser" and the Volume knob is daft.....

I came very close to buying one. Many of them look to have a one or two piece body when you examine them very closely!

...too bad I'm done with my buying spree.

What was your impression of the looks? I didn’t much care for the one I saw.

I like the guitar in the OP and the way the wood grain shows...it looks more natural and organic. I really dig it and the price tag on it looks very reasonable. It's only $50 more than I paid for my '98 Fender American Standard Strat which I bought used in 2005 at a pawn shop.

This guitar I really like.
Got it from Sweetwater. They actually post photos of the actual guitar. There were several to chose from and I took the one where the grain at least appeared to be a one piece body. The others were obviously not one piece. The grain did not line up.

The other thing that sold me was, if you look by the vol/tone knobs there is a button. Push down the button and position 4 get you middle and neck pups while 5 gets all three. And you can hear a difference.

Edit: I knew I wasn’t saying it right so I checked. The switch brings the bridge pup into play in pos. 4 & 5.
